I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, receiving my degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. The first half of my career I worked helping adults with physical and cognitive disabilities both in vocational and residential settings. I became an Executive Director of a supported living company and then in 2001 I switched to that same role but helping seniors and their families in Assisted Living and Nursing Home centers. I was extremely successful in this endeavor, due to my personal belief system that people should be able to live where they want, within their means and not "be placed" somewhere. I am able to gain trust very quickly and help people past the fear and sadness of what will be most likely their last move, to join the community where we can provide a nurturing environment for as long as possible.
I am enriched by helping people achieve their goals, which essentially meets my goals too. I decided to switch to real estate after a recommendation from my son, who said that after all the years of helping people with very sad and expensive moves, real estate would be a relatively smooth transition to help people who are looking forward to moving.
I live in the College Hill area of Cincinnati and love it because of its central location and the diversity and friendliness of my neighborhood.
While working in health care my hobbies were few, but I have renewed energy to cook, garden, read, hike, travel and listen to all kinds of music. I also like to support causes related to sustainability and inclusion.
